Role of the Dialysis Co-ordinator

The Dialysis Co-ordinator’s role is to help kidney patients, their families and carers from the moment they learn that renal replacement therapy, for example long-term dialysis, is required until they commence that treatment. The role includes providing education and information to help patients make informed choices and decisions about their care and running a rehabilitation programme for patients. In addition, counselling and support is provided to help patients and carers cope with the psychological and emotional effects of the transition from health to chronic illness and its treatment.

You can contact the Dialysis Co-ordinator anytime on (029) 2074 8456 for any advice, problems, queries or support.
