Patients' Consultation Questionnaires

The WKPA want all renal patients, HD/PD/ transplant and their carers, to have the opportunity to view the “Draft” Charter and make comments if they wish. The WKPA has had representation on the Transport Project Board and updates of progress made have been given in previous issues of this magazine.
It is important that all renal patients have their views heard and your comments taken on board. Now is the opportunity for you all to do so.

The Welsh Ambulance Service is building a new partnership with the Welsh Kidney Patients Association. Through a series of measures we are working together to improve the non-emergency transport service for patients and particularly for patients requiring renal dialysis.

How long have you been travelling by ambulance ?

How many times a week do you travel to hospital/unit ?

At what time of day (inbound) ?

At what time of day (outbound) ?

How far do you live from the unit ?

How long does your journey to/from the hospital/unit normally take ?

What ambulance transport do you usually use ?

How long do you wait on average for transport home after treatment ?

How satisfied are you with the service that you receive from the Welsh Ambulance Service ?

The Welsh Ambulance Service in conjuction with the Welsh Kidney Patients Association, launched the questionnaire back in March 2008 to try and improve the non-emergency transport service for patients and particularly for patients requiring renal dialysis.

The chart below shows the average satisfaction score for the three areas ie. Central & West Wales, North Wales & South East Wales. 0 being the worst 10 the best.
